Washing your hosiery

Stockings and tights are delicate and special care needs to be taken when washing to avoid damaging the fine threads.

Firstly, file away any jagged edges on your nails and remove any jewellery that can catch. Hand wash the hosiery in a mild detergent. Rinse gently and lay flat on a towel to dry. Blot to remove any excess water. Do not hang wet hosiery, avoid drying in direct heat and do not wring – all these actions can cause your hosiery to stretch or lose shape.
